FODIS Pro
The FODIS Pro® system is an Optical Distribution Frame (ODF) system specially designed for Fiber-To-The-Home (FTTH) applications. It is a modular system consisting of a basic rack, cable management, Mandrel Extension Racks and Gasblocker Extension Racks and Fiber Modules. Each Fiber Module has a front plate with uniform cut-out patterns into which snap-in angled holders fitting into the required adapter type can be inserted. Thanks to its flexible design, the snap-in angled holder can also be equipped with the RFID antenna next to each port, including a LED, indicating the connection and workorder status of a port. Key feature of FODIS Pro is the retrofitting capability of an unintelligent to an intelligent rack, equipped with the PatchAssist Patch Management System
PATCHASSIST PLATFORM CONSISTS OF 3 CONNECTED COMPONENTS
- FODIS Pro Fiber Module with PatchAssist extension, containing the RFID antenna and status LED for each port
- PatchAssist analyzer for real time monitoring of all changes to layer 1
- PatchAssist agent to allow data exchange between all connected analyzers with network management applications of various third manufacturers via an HTTP/REST interface

Retrofitting
Our specially designed construction allows later upgrading our FODIS Pro ODF, once already installed on-site. A simple and convenient changeover-process allows to turn any non-intelligent, pre-installed, FODIS Pro rack into a PatchAssist equipped intelligent rack, offering latest state-of-the-art AIM/DCIM features.
Key advantages of a retrofittable ODF solution:
- Higher investment protection of the unintelligent ODF due to upgrade possibility to meet future requirements
- Combination of intelligently monitored ports with standard ports as per requirements (e.g. only customers demanding a high SLA are patched on monitored ports)
